Whether you're looking for something to pick up for dinner or just something to feast your eyes on, the fish market at the Caleta Algelmo port has the greatest variety of seafood in the country. The colorful Pacific catch is laid out fresh each day.
Among the city's fastest growing industries is salmon export- mosey into a waterfront café and try some while you're visiting! When the boats come in each afternoon, some of the fish are headed straight for Puerto Montt's restaurants. Feast on savory delights like oversize barnacles, clams, oysters, baked scallops, grilled salmon or sawfish, and even lobster.
