Weather in Santiago
The weather in Santiago is similar to the Mediterranean climate, though the seasons are opposite that of Greece or Italy's because of its location in the southern hemisphere. The months between October and March are warm and dry, while April to September are much wetter with more mild temperatures.
In the winter months of July and August, the smog around Santiago can be quite dense. January and February are clearest, with the most hours of sunlight. Daily hours of sunshine average from three to four in winter months to nine or ten in summer.
